ما من مؤمن إلا و له ذنب يعتاده الفينة بعد الفينة أو ذنب هو مقيم عليه لا يفارقه حتى يفارق هذه الدنيا , إن المؤمن خلق مفتنا نسيا و لكن إذا ذكرذَكر ..

: Sahih Ajjami of Sheikh Al-ALbani no 5735
Translation of above Hadith :
" There is not a believer who has got a recurrent sin that he commits from time to time, or a sin that he persistently commits until he departs from this worldly life. A believer is created as vulnerable to temptation, forgetful, but is likely to remember when reminded."

Lesson 2

Eating Out   alkhurouj letanawule atta'am
 
أَيْنَ يوجَدْ هُنا مَطْعَمْ جَيِّدْ؟
  Where is there a good restaurant?
      ayna yujad huna mata'am jayyid? 
أَيْنَ يوجَدْ هُنا مَطْعَمْ شَعْبيّ؟
 Where is there a popular (typical)  restaurant?
      ayna yujad huna mata'am sha'bi?
أَيْنَ يوجَدْ هُنا مَطْعَمْ مُعْتَدِلْ الأَسْعارْ؟ 
 Where is there a moderately-priced restaurant?
  ayna yujad huna mata'am mu'tadil alasa'ar?
أَيْنَ أَسْتَطيع تَناوُلْ طَعام رَخيصْ/جَيِّدْ في مَكان قَريبْ مِنْ هُنا؟
 Where is it possible to get cheap/good food nearby?
 Ayna astati' tanawul ta'am rakhees/jayyid  fi makan qarib min huna? 
في المَطْعَمْ... At the Restaurant…  fil mata'am 
The customer may ask the following questions at the restaurant:
لَوْ سَمَحْتْ احْجِزْ لَنا طاوِلَةً لِأَرْبَعَةْ أَشْخاصْ هذا المَساءْ.
Please reserve a table for four people for this evening.
Law samaht ehjez lana tawelatan learba'at ashkhas hatha almasa'. 
إلى مَتى يَسْتَمِرّ تَقْديم الطَّعامْ عِنْدَكُمْ؟
Until when do you serve food?
Ela mata yastamer taqdeem atta'am indakom? 
هَلْ هَذِهِ الطّاوِلَة غَيْرْ مَحْجوزَة؟
Is this table free?
Hal hathehe attawela ghayr mahjouza? 
هَلْ هَذِهِ الكُرْسي غَيْرْ مَحْجوزَة؟
Is this seat free?
Hal hathehe alkursi ghayr mahjouza? 
لَوْ سَمَحْتْ أُريدُ طاوِلَة لِشَخْصَيْنْ/ثَلاثَةْ أَشْخاصْ.
A table for two/three people please.
Law samaht uridu tawela leshakhsayn/thalathat ashkhas. 
لَوْ سَمَحْتْ, أَيْنَ التّواليتْ؟
Where is the toilet, please?
Law samaht aynat twalet?
الطَّلَبْOrdering  attalab 
يا نادِلْ/يا سَيِّدْ  Waiter/sir   ya nadel/ya sayyid
In colloquial language, people call the waiter by saying,"ميتْرْ/جيرسونْ"  "maitr/gerson"
 يا نادِلْ/يا سَيِّدْ, لَوْ سَمَحْتْ أُريدُ قائِمَةْ الطّعامْ.
Waiter/sir, the menu, please.
Ya nadel/ya sayyid, lwa samaht uridi qae'mat atta'am.
ماذا تَنْصَحُني؟
What do you recommend?
Matha tansahuni?
هَلْ لَدَيْكُمْ وَجَباتْ بِدونْ لُحومْ؟
Do you have vegetarian dishes?
Hal ladaykom wajabat bedoun luhoum? 
هَلْ يوجَدْ لَدَيْكُمْ وَجَباتْ لِلْأَطْفالْ؟
Are there children's portions?
Hal youjad ladaykom wajabat lelatfal?
The waiter may ask you,
هَلْ انْتَهَيْتِ مِنَ الاخْتِيارْ؟
Have you made your choice?
Hal entahayte menal ekhteyar?
ماذا تُريدينْ كَمُقَبِّلاتْ؟
What would you like as an appetizer?
Matha turidin ka mukabbilat?
ماذا تُريدينْ كَتَحْلِيَة؟
What would you like for dessert?
Matha turidin ka tahleya?
سآخُذْ...

Conversational Arabic Class: Buying and Selling

Arabic Conversation
Lesson 1
Buying and selling
Throughout this class, we are going to learn Arabic conversation which will be practical to life and useful for you in case you travel to or move to live in an Arab country. The conversations are going to include money matters, stores, clothing, restaurants, etc.
Vocabulary:
  تَدُلَّني   / tadullani  / recommend        Verb
Sentence:

"هَلْ تَسْتَطيعْ   ….

 "hal tastati'    Can you ….. ?           

Conversation:
In this lesson, we are going to learn a conversation that you may use when you buy from boutiques. If you want to ask someone about a good boutique, you may say,
Customer:
"هَلْ تَسْتَطيعْ أَنْ تَدُلَّني عَلى مَحَلّ مَلابِس جَيِّدْ؟"

"hal tastati' an tadullani a'la mahal malabis jayyid?"
 "Can you recommend a good boutique to me?"
Once you are in the boutique, the seller may ask you,
Seller:
"هَلْ تَحتاجُ الى مُساعَدَة؟"
  "hal tahtaju  ila musa'adah?"
"Is someone helping you?"
In colloquial language, the seller asks you,
"بِدّكْ مُساعَدِة؟"
 "biddak musa'adeh?"
"Is someone helping you?"
You may answer,
Customer:

"شُكرَاً, أَنا أَتَفَرّجْ فَقَطْ."
 "shukran, ana atafarraj fakat."
"Thanks, I'm just browsing."
In colloquial language, you may say,

"شُكْرَاً, أَنا بَتْفَرَّجْ بَسْ."                            

"shukran, ana batfarraj bas."
 "Thanks, I'm just browsing."
Customer:

أُريد...""
"urid…"
"I would like…"
In colloquial language, you may say,
"بِدّي..."
 "biddi…"
"I would like…"
 

If you want to buy shoes for your children, you can say to the seller,
أُريدُ أَنْ أَشْتَرِي أَحْذِيَة لِلْأَوْلادْ.
Uridu un ashtare ahtheya lela'wlad.
I would like to buy children's shoes.
if you want to buy a checkered shirt for your husband, you can say to the seller,
أُريدُ أَنْ أَشْتَرِي قَميصْ كَاروهاتْ رِجَّالي وَ رَبْطَة عُنُقْ.
Uridu un  ashtare kamees karohat rejjali wa rabtet u'nuk.
I would like to buy a checkered shirt and tie.
The colloquial word for rabtet u'nuk is "grafe" غْرافِة""
أُريدُ جِلْباباً أَسْوداً وَنِقابَاً أَبْيَضاً.
Uridu jilbaban aswadan wa nekaban abyadan.
I would like a black Jilbab and a Niqap.
الأَلْوانْ:Colors:  ala'lwan
أَسْوَدْ  Black     aswad  
أَحْمَرْ Red      ahmar   
أَخْضَرْGreen    akhdar
أَزْرَقْ Blue      azrak
